He does however, have some words we can understand, and he said his first sentence yesterday! "I wa O's" (I want Cheerios.) Now, obviously he needs to get a few manners, but if you know e, it's no surprise that his first sentence involves getting food! I have since heard him exchange the Os for other favorites. "I wa aga-aga," (water) or "I wa go-go" (yogurt). Then I make him say please "eese." This all started because he doesn't say yes or no. Just please. So when I would try to figure out what he wanted, I'd give him options and when he said "eese", I knew that's what he wanted. Now, he's just eliminating my guess work, and I love it! His other newest word is quesadilla or "de-da." Are you sensing a theme here?
He's just getting so big. He and N now fight over who turns off the TV and turns out the lights. N is still sort of protective (read - controlling) of e, and e is starting to get really upset by that. He wants to do his own thing! Even if it's not what Mom or big brother wants him to do. He loves to play with drawers and cabinets, and N knows they are not supposed to. With N the rule follower and e the free spirit, you can just imagine how that goes!

What a cutie! Trying to decifer (sp??) the words of a toddler is very simlar in many ways to having a converstaion with a Korean! :) Your post reminded me of something funny I think I'll head over to my blog and type up! :)
Yay for e! :) C is starting to use more words, too, and you were soooo right. We're "getting along" much more smoothly now. LoL And, I'm really starting to enjoy this parenting thing. Not that I didn't enjoy it before but, you know what I mean.
I relate to being the younger brother. Free spirit? Maybe. It was the sisters who knew the rules in my family.
Yeah e-i!!! I love your descriptions of them (rule follower vs free spirit). So true! But we love and miss them both so much (oh, and you too). :o)
Adeline couldn't stop pointing out airplanes during all our travels this week. Seriously, where does she learn this stuff? I've been trying to teach her where her nose is for weeks! sigh...
I used to babysit a kid who could talk, but not to me for some reason. The only thing he would say was "peas." So nice when you don't have to go down a list! Oh, and by the way I am so glad to see you have a blog so I can catch up.
